From the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed, walking through the front door to be greeted by a beautiful garden with its trickling water feature and the ocean view beyond. The house is beautifully designed to optimise the beach views and is fully equipped with every luxury and comfort; heated towel racks, a fireplace, appliances and blinds at the press of a button, to name but a few. The location couldn’t have been better for us, just steps from the beach, shops, restaurants and the Sunshine Beach Surf Club. We want to thank the hosts for providing us with a most memorable experience. We were so happy here. We even spotted some migrating whales during our stay.

Carol - 1st October 2025Having stayed in many luxury properties, this Frank Macchia architectural masterpiece stands out as a new benchmark. For us, the heart of the home is undoubtedly the ocean-facing balcony—our daily stage for sunset drinks and whale watching—but the entire flow of the house is genius. The Poggenpohl kitchen is a chef's dream, so well-equipped with its Subzero fridge and multiple ovens that we found it a joy to cook in. It made entertaining feel as easy and spacious as being in our own home, especially around the kitchen island or at the 10-14 person dining table. There was none of the typical "holiday home squashness"—just pure, elevated luxury. Upstairs, the king bedrooms are incredibly spacious, and waking up to the sound of the waves was magical. We also made a nightly ritual of the private ‘Onsen’ bathhouse—a true indulgence that became my husband's sweet spot. What made our stay truly carefree were the thoughtful touches: the discreet security, the incredibly convenient internal lift, and the daily housekeeping. This isn't just a rental; it's a perfectly curated coastal experience where high-end design meets barefoot bliss. We left already dreaming of our return.

Looking to build a memorable experience -This luxurious, soothing space,filled with warm timbers, elemental surfaces and soft lighting opens to full ocean vistas off generous balconies on both levels. Waking up under the high ceilings with full height glass doors opening to the ocean was magical. After a short walk to source fresh produce at the local store, food preparation in the kitchen was an absolute joy. The multitude of sensory experiences evoked in this luxury getaway from the gentle steam in the courtyard to the cocooning lounge, bordered by a magnificent fireplace, left many lingering pleasurable recollections
